What are the raddest commix around?  The new X-STATIX?  If I was hard-pressed, I would have to say that the raddest comic that was published last month (that I read) was YOUNG JUSTICE.  I was just wanting to read a Clayface origin, and here comes the new issue of YOUNG JUSTICE to focus on just that!  It's different from the old BATMAN ADVENTURES origin, but still interesting and well-told.  But, the real reason I loved it was that it was a backwards story out of nowhere.  I've always loved backwards stories.  I've never been a huge Mark Waid or LEGION fan, but his stories with Barry Kitson's art were so tight that I actually read them backwards and noticed the same backwards beat structure this issue had.  It's an interesting way to examine narrative.  I'm toying with the idea of writing my next story backwards and turning it around for publication.

Back to the issue at hand, this is a solid story with real emotional hooks that works very well when told in the backwards fashion in which it is presented here.  And, I think the next issue is actually already at the shop!  Looks like I'll be stopping by tomorrow.

LATER, COMIX DUDES!
